Frequently asked questions
Does one relapse erase my history?
No. It restarts the current clean-day count, while earlier records and your best streak remain visible.
How does iCloud sync work?
When you are signed in to iCloud and iCloud Drive is available, SwiftData syncs habits, records, settings, and medals through your private CloudKit database. Sync timing is managed by iOS and may not be immediate.
How can I check whether iCloud is available?
Open Unhabit → Settings → iCloud Sync → Check iCloud Status. The app will report whether the private database is available or explain the problem.
Where do habits go after I quit or archive them?
Open Statistics to see habits that have reached the quit milestone. Archived habits remain available from Settings and can be restored without losing their history.
Why did a notification not arrive?
Check Settings → Notifications in Unhabit and confirm notification permission is enabled in iPhone Settings. iOS may also delay notifications because of Focus or notification summaries.
Can I switch languages or appearance?
Yes. Open Settings to choose English, Simplified Chinese, light, dark, or the system appearance.
Is Unhabit a subscription?
No. Unhabit is designed as a paid download with no recurring subscription.
Troubleshooting
Data is not syncing
- Confirm both devices use the same Apple Account.
- Enable iCloud Drive and allow Unhabit to use iCloud.
- Open the app on both devices and allow a little time.
- Check iCloud status inside Unhabit Settings.
The app shows older data
Keep the app open briefly on a stable network. Avoid deleting and recreating habits while another device is still uploading changes.
